MEET VICTORIA
Victoria started HY. FIFTY because she notices things - the way a room shifts with the right light, a piece sitting on someone's table, catching it just right. As an auntie, she thinks often about what she might leave behind. Not a fortune. A feeling: an object placed somewhere in a home, the kind that quietly catches your eye, until one day, the next generation looks at it and remembers their childhood, and the connection to you.
She pictures it, almost too clearly: someone she loves, years from now, lighting that same candlestick before a dinner nobody wants to end. A story that gets a little funnier every time it's told again. A life lived on purpose, and remembered on purpose too.
That's the same instinct behind Sundays Plot, a weekly column - the honest ones, the funny ones, the ones worth telling twice: different tables, different versions of who we were, all of it worth keeping.

HY. FIFTY begins in Italy, near Milan and within reach of Lake Como and Lake Garda, where our first pieces are handcrafted with material knowledge, care, and a deep respect for objects made to last. But the world of HY. FIFTY is European in spirit. It is shaped by materials, makers, traditions, and the many ways people across Europe live with beauty: around a table, through rituals, in homes that carry history and feeling. Over time, we want to bring together crafts, collaborations, and materials from different countries, collecting what feels meaningful and giving it a place in one shared world.
